Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey.

Thomas Partey injury latest + Timber’s addition and a Smith Rowe recall vs West Ham

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s Inside Arsenal show.

It’s been a few days since the win against Liverpool and attention is now firmly switching to yet another crucial game against West Ham.

David Moyes’ side have already beaten Arsenal twice this season and another defeat this Sunday will undo all the hard work that went into beating Liverpool last weekend.

It’s absolutely vital that Arsenal back up their victory against the league leaders and it will be really interesting to see what Mikel Arteta does in terms of his team selection at the London Stadium.

Will he stick with the side that did so well against Liverpool or will he change things up a bit? He does have options of course, including Emile Smith Rowe – who played so well against Nottingham Forest recently.

One player who won’t be involved is Thomas Partey, who will once again miss out through injury. As far as I’m aware this setback is not considered a serious one and he won’t be out for long, but he’s not yet ready to return so will sit out this weekend’s game.

I discuss the latest on Partey’s return from injury in today’s show, which you can watch below on YouTube or you can listen to on all the usual podcast platforms.

There’s plenty more covered as well, including the addition of Jurrien Timber to Arsenal’s Champions League and the decisions facing Arteta when selecting his team to face West Ham on Sunday.
