Superb Arsenal sink Brighton | Arteta’s joy | Player ratings
Arsenal are back at the top of the Premier League following Sunday’s excellent 2-0 success against Brighton at Emirates Stadium.
Second half goals from Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz were enough to give the Gunners a deserved victory which took them back to top spot, with previous leaders Liverpool dropping points following their goalless draw with Manchester United.
It was a dominant performance from Arsenal, one that left Mikel Arteta in buoyant mood.
“Outstanding, incredible,” he said. “Big compliment to the team and to the players. I think we had an incredible performance against a top team. I think we fully deserved to win the game. I have to praise them because I know how difficult it is and what Brighton do to teams. We didn’t allow that to happen, so I’m super happy.“
In today’s show I reflect on Sunday’s 2-0 win and discuss the big talking points from the game, including the overall performance and some superb individual displays.
I also look at what Mikel Arteta had to say after the game and go through my Arsenal player ratings.
