Martin Keown exclusive: On defending Arsenal, trophies, Wenger and THAT van Nistelrooy row
Hello everyone. I hope all is well and you enjoyed the win last night against Preston in the Carabao Cup. Ethan Nwaneri is a bit special isn’t he?? Some goal that!
Anyway, I’m back with something a bit different today in terms of my Inside Arsenal show. I’m very fortunate to have been joined by the one and only Martin Keown on the day that his new book “On the Edge” has been launched.
To mark the launch, I had the chance to sit down with Martin and discuss the book and look back on his remarkable trophy-laden career which spanned over 25 years and two spells with Arsenal.
Martin discusses some of the tough times he endured trying to make the breakthrough at the club and how he regrets leaving first time back in 1985.
We then go over his return in 1993, the influence Arsene Wenger went on to have on his career and of course, we discuss THAT incident with Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2004.
The interview is available on my YouTube channel and via the usual podcast formats (see below). I hope you enjoy.
You can order Martin’s new book HERE.
