Arsenal player ratings

David Raya: Could have pulled up a deckchair at times, but when he was called into action he did everything he needed to. 7

Ben White: His partnership with Saka down the right caused Sheffield United all sorts of problems in the first half. Kept going in the second and popped up with a superb finish to make it 6-0. 8

William Saliba: Cruised through the game. He can’t have had a higher starting position in any game this season. 7

Gabriel Magalhaes: Like Saliba, he played so high such was Arsenal’s dominance. Never had to get out of second gear. 7

Jakub Kiwior: Continued his good recent form and picked up an assist for Martinelli’s goal. 7

Jorginho: Just kept things ticking over in midfield while the madness unfolded around him. 7

Declan Rice: Another goal and another assist. He seems to be relishing playing in a slightly more advanced role with Jorginho behind him. 8

Martin Odegaard: Set the ball rolling with the early goal to make it 1-0. Sheffield United had no answer to his quality. Exceptional. 9

Bukayo Saka: Only on the pitch for 45 minutes, but he destroyed Sheffield United during that time. Two assists and was a constant threat. 8

Kai Havertz: Scored one and set up two. His finish to make it 4-0 was excellent, as was his assist for Ben White. His superb form continues. 9

Gabriel Martinelli: The one blot on Arsenal’s night was the worrying injury Martinelli suffered in the second half. He’d been excellent up to that point, scoring one and setting up another. 8

Fabio Vieira: Looked sharp having replaced Saka at half-time. Unlucky not to set up Martinelli for a goal. 7

Gabriel Jesus: Denied by a fine save as he looked to curl one into the far corner. 6

Thomas Partey: Great to see him back. Produced some typically excellent passes. 6

Cedric Soares: He will be happy to get some more minutes in the Premier League. N/A

Leandro Trossard: On the fringes of things having come on. N/A
