Arsenal celebrate Noni Madueke scoring against Club Brugge in the Champions League.

Arsenal player ratings vs Club Brugge: Madueke and Martinelli star in 3-0 win

Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 win against Club Brugge in the Champions League to make it six wins from six in this year’s competition so far.

Noni Madueke opened the scoring for Mikel Arteta’s side with a sensational first half strike and the winger doubled his tally soon after the break when he headed in Martin Zubimendi’s cross.

Gabriel Martinelli then curled in a superb goal to complete the scoring and become the first Arsenal player ever to score in five successive Champions League games.

Here are my player ratings from tonight’s win.

David Raya: Made some important saves, including one fine stop late on in the first half to keep Arsenal in front. Distribution was impressive. 8

Ben White: Third start in a row for White which is a real positive. Looked sharp at times and caused some problems down the right. Booked. 7

Christian Norgaard: Did well playing as a makeshift centre-back. Made some important blocks. 7

Piero Hincapie: Played on the front foot, always got tight to his man. Good showing. 7

Myles Lewis-Skelly: Played a bit more conservative than usual, probably due to the threat of the pacy Forbs. Good minutes for him. 6

Martin Zubimendi: Brilliant play to set up Madueke’s second goal. 7

Martin Odegaard: Good display. Some excellent passes and was always on the ball. Pulled the strings. 7

Mikel Merino: Back in his more accustomed midfield role. Solid enough. 6

Noni Madueke: Star of the show. Stunning goal to open the scoring and nodded in the important second just after half-time. 8

Viktor Gyokeres: Quiet. Important minutes as he looks to get back to full fitness. Had one header saved in the first half but was never really in the game. 6

Gabriel Martinelli: What a goal! Incredible strike from distance into the top corner to set a new Champions League record for Arsenal of scoring in five games in a row. Came to life in the second half. 8

Substitutes

Riccardo Calafiori: Slotted in at centre-back well. 6

Gabriel Jesus: Great to see him back. First game since January and was really lively. Went close a couple of times, with one shot hitting the bar. 7

Bukayo Saka: On the fringes of things after coming on. 6

Ethan Nwaneri: Good cameo. Lively, got himself involved. So close to a goal at the end. 7

Marli Salmon: Special moment for the 16-year-old defender, coming on for the closing stages. N/A
