Arsenal hit by double injury blow vs Lens as Mikel Arteta calls up two youngsters

Arsenal could be without both Fabio Vieira and Ben White for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Lens at Emirates Stadium.

Victory for Arsenal against the Ligue 1 side will send them through to the knockout stages as winners of Group B with a game to spare.

But they look set to be without both Ben White and Fabio Vieira for the game, with both players missing Tuesday’s final training session at London Colney.

Long-term absentees Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe remain on the sidelines, but two youngsters could make the squad, with Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri included with the senior group during Tuesday’s session.

Lens are the only side to beat Arsenal in the Champions League so far this season, with the French side claiming a 2-1 win in October.

But Arsenal bounced back from that defeat with home and away wins against Sevilla and know that victory at the Emirates on Wednesday night will see them through to the knockout rounds with a game remaining.

Arsenal predicted XI vs Lens: Raya; Tomiyasu, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Odegaard, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.
