Well, that was better wasn’t it? Five goals, a clean sheet and three much needed points. Just want the doctor ordered really.
Yes Crystal Palace were poor, Eberechi Eze aside, but we’ve seen Arsenal fail to take advantage of that sort of thing before.
On Saturday, however, the visitors were put to the sword in pretty ruthless fashion. Arsenal had scored one goal from an XG of six in their past three games prior to yesterday. Against Palace they scored five goals from an XG of 2.5.

It wasn’t all good news. The injuries to Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes were worrying. But you would hope this win – and the manner of it – will give Arsenal a much needed shot in the arm after such a poor run of recent results.
