It’s Champions League night once again, with Arsenal completing their successful group stage campaign with a tricky looking trip to PSV Eindhoven later on today.
Mikel Arteta’s side have already secured qualification through to the knockout rounds as group winners, however, but the Gunners boss still wants to see his team take this evening’s contest seriously.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Arteta said:
I want to see in the tummy of the players tomorrow that although the job technically is done, it is not completely done. Our duty as representatives of Arsenal is to win every game and tomorrow we need a big performance against a team that is going to make it very difficult like they have shown in the past two years here.
In today’s show I look at what else Arteta has had to say ahead of tonight’s clash in Holland and I discuss the return of Emile Smith Rowe, who has travelled with the squad after recovering from his knee injury.
I also look at comments made by Arteta about Jurrien Timber’s ongoing recovery and the exciting potential of 16-year-old Ethan Nwaneri, who could make his Champions League debut this evening.
