Superb Saka delivers again! Arsenal 3, Southampton 1 – Match reaction and player ratings
It wasn’t easy, but Arsenal got the job done against Southampton to maintain their unbeaten start of the season.
Bukayo Saka was the star of the show, scoring one and setting up the other two for Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli as Mikel Arteta’s side fought back from a goal behind to claim a 3-1 win at the Emirates.
It was far from a perfect performance from Arsenal and, just like against Leicester last week, they had to battle right up until the final whistle to claim all three points.
But they got the win they needed, thanks in large part to the brilliance of Saka and the determination of Havertz, who has now scored in seven successive games at the Emirates.
