Arsenal player ratings vs Sevilla: Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu superb
Two moments of brilliance from Gabriel Jesus earned Arsenal a vital 2-1 away win at Sevilla as Mikel Arteta’s side took control of their Champions League group.
A superb turn and pass from Jesus set up Gabriel Martinelli for the opening goal just before half-time and the Brazilian then scored himself soon after the interval, curling in a wonderful finish to double Arsenal’s lead.
Nemanja Gudelj then pulled a goal back for Sevilla with a header from a corner, but Arsenal saw out a nervy ending to seal a valuable three points in Spain.

A couple of nervy passes out from the back. Had looked very confident when coming to claim crosses, but survived a really scary moment late on when he almost punched a cross into his own net. 5

A bit more reserved than normal going forward. Solid defensively. 7
William Saliba
So calm. Another fine performance. 7

Steady enough just in front of the back four. Kept the ball moving. 6

World class for both goals. Brilliant play to set up Martinelli’s opener and then a fabulous finish to double the lead. Limped off injured though, which is a worry. 8
