Declan Rice to undergo Arsenal medical ahead of £105m move

Declan Rice will have his Arsenal medical in the next 48 hours ahead of his record-breaking £105 million move from West Ham.

After a week of talks over the exact make-up of the payment structure of the deal, Arsenal and West Ham finally reached a full agreement late on Tuesday night.

The England international, who has already agreed personal terms, will now finalise his switch to north London before undergoing his medical.

Arsenal will then officially announce the capture of the 24-year-old in a club record deal which smashes the current £72m figure, which the Gunners paid to bring Nicolas Pepe to the club from Lille in 2019.

Rice, who was also wanted by Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich, is expected to wear the No.41 shirt at Arsenal.

His arrival could spell the end of Thomas Partey’s time at Arsenal. The Ghana international is expected back at London Colney this week and wants talks to clarify his future amid interest from clubs in Italy and Saudi Arabia.

Granit Xhaka is definitely on his way out, with his £21.5m move to Bayer Leverkusen expected to be announced imminently.
